About the Material & Colour

Hand Brushed Plated Aluminium

Hand-brushed plated aluminium reflects the meeting of craftsmanship and time. Each piece is plated and then brushed by hand, creating subtle variations in tone and texture that make every object unique. A final matte coating softens the sheen into a silky finish, enhancing the surface with quiet movement and depth.

Brass

Hand Brushed Brass has a golden metallic tone that resembles gold but with a softer, more muted character. Fine brushstrokes create a silky matte surface, reducing shine and adding depth and movement. The result is a warm, elegant finish that feels both timeless and contemporary.

Maintenance

Our lamps crafted in plated aluminium combine refined texture with modern durability. To preserve their finish and ensure lasting quality, gentle and regular care is essential.

The Hand-Brushed plated aluminium should be dusted with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth with mild, pH-neutral soap, wiping gently along the direction of the brushing to preserve its linear texture. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh detergents, acidic cleaners, or metal polishes, as these can damage the plated surface and diminish its refined character.

The Perforated plated aluminium requires extra care. Dust regularly with a microfiber cloth or a soft brush to remove particles caught in the perforations. We do not recommend using water on perforated surfaces, as any moisture that is not dried properly may leave chalky drops or marks inside the holes. If cleaning is necessary, use only a dry microfiber cloth.

Always switch off and unplug the lamp before cleaning, and avoid exposing plated aluminium surfaces to high humidity or direct water contact. With consistent, gentle care, both the hand-brushed and perforated plated aluminium will retain their crafted elegance and refined shine ensuring the lamp remains timeless for years to come.
