Candle Holders

101 Copenhagen candle holders represent a harmonious fusion of various influences, including the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, a variety of architectural periods and art movements, and our strong foundation in Scandinavian minimalism. We have dedicated years to partnering with expert ceramists for our ceramic candle holders and skilled marble suppliers in order to source the most beautiful stones. This has resulted in a signature palette of natural faded earth tones and tactile finishes.

Our candle holder collection comprises three distinct series: W, Tube, Brick, and Cobra.

The ”W” series strong graphic expression is achieved through the juxtaposition of these angular elements. This unique design draws upon the principles of brutalism, known for its raw, honest, and imposing aesthetic.

The ”Tube” series features ceramic lamellas and focuses on repetition as a minimalist sculptural detail. Inspired by 1970s artwork and design, Tube is built on a single oval shape that repeats to form a continuous sculptural object.

The ”Brick” series draws inspiration from architectural building components and is made of exquisite solid marble, intricately carved into sharp geometric shapes. Each Brick candle holder is unique, showcasing the rich and beautiful patterns of natural stone. The polished surface subtly reflects the candlelight, adding warmth to the design.

Lastly, the ”Cobra” ceramic series pays homage to the Cobra Arts Movement of the 1960s. This collection features quirky vases and candle holders with whimsical, soft, and organic shapes that evoke human silhouettes and curves. True to the Cobra artists’ approach, this series begins with naive hand sketches that evolve into bodily silhouettes.
