About the Material & Colour

Stoneware

Our stoneware is crafted through a meticulous process that balances durability, beauty, and individuality. Each piece begins as raw stoneware, shaped in molds and left to rest before its first firing at 850°C. After careful inspection, a semimatte glaze is applied, followed by a second hand-applied glaze that creates a distinctive beige texture over a white base.

The final firing at 1230–1240°C gives the material its exceptional strength, making it highly durable and long-lasting while retaining a refined, handcrafted character. Subtle variations in glaze and texture ensure that no two pieces are ever the same, bringing individuality and warmth to the everyday.

Birch

Hand-painted in a bright, pale natural beige with a whisper of warmth, Birch reflects the gentle tone of fresh wood. Its light and airy presence brings softness and calm, while variations in brush strokes lend natural depth, ensuring each piece is uniquely alive.

Maintenance

Born of earth and fire, our stoneware carries the quiet strength of its making molded, glazed, and fired at high temperatures to achieve both durability and individuality. Each piece bears subtle variations in tone and texture, the gentle marks of handcraft that make every item unique. With time, fine scratches and traces of use may appear; these are not flaws, but the natural patina of daily life, adding depth and character with every meal shared. Created for modern living, our dinnerware is both practical and refined. Each piece is dishwasher- and microwave-safe, yet best cared for with a gentle touch. We recommend avoiding dishwasher cycles above 65°C and microwave settings above 675W, as excessive heat may place stress on the glaze. Sudden temperature changes, such as immersing hot stoneware in cold water, should also be avoided to prevent thermal shock. To protect edges and surfaces, do not stack pieces too tightly. The Native Teapot, with its delicate wooden handle, requires handwashing and should always be kept dry. With simple care and mindful handling, your stoneware will remain a timeless companion carrying forward the warmth of its craft, the beauty of imperfection, and the evolving stories of the table.
