The Oka tray is inspired by traditional Japanese serving trays, often produced in wood or bamboo. Transforming this well-known form into a new material, in this case solid fiber concrete, a certain heaviness and a refined texture of the surface is added, without compromising on the recognizable shape. With its sculptural and architectural shape, it can be used for various decoration purposes or standalone as a piece of art in its own right.

Not waterproof
Our hand-painted fiber concrete vases combine strength with artistry, designed for indoor use and crafted to be fully waterproof inside.
To care for the finish, dust the exterior gently with a soft, dry cloth. If deeper cleaning is needed, wipe carefully with a damp cloth and mild, pH-neutral soap, then dry immediately. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, acidic or alkaline cleaners, and sharp objects, as these may damage the hand-painted surface.
The vases are waterproof within and can safely hold water for fresh flowers. After rinsing, dry gently and take care not to let excess water sit on the painted exterior, helping to preserve its finish over time.
With mindful care, each vase will retain its depth, warmth, and unique hand-painted character, becoming a lasting presence in your home.
Fiber Concrete
Inspired by the Brutalism Architecture movement of the mid-20th century, fiber concrete has become the signature material of the 101 Copenhagen furniture collection. Emphasizing sculptural shapes, the texture of concrete creates a fine balance between sharp architectural lines and soft organic curves. Cast in lightweight fiber concrete, each product gets a unique tactile surface with small incorrections and nuances. The surface is afterwards coated, to create a strong and resistance product. Finally, the product is hand painted two times by brush, to create a brushed layered colour.
It is advised to avoid sharp objects as they can harm the surface of the product. The product cannot stand in extreme high temperature and sunlight for several months. High humidity levels can also cause the product to absorb moisture, causing it to become soft and fragile. When exposed to extreme heat or cold, the product may expand or contract excessively, causing it to break or become damaged.
Maintenance:
For daily cleaning, a dry or wet cloth can be used to remove dust or dirt. However, cleaning products containing acid should not be used as they may harm the surface of the product.
